Nightworks

Who are the people who have influenced your filmmaking?

Orson Welles, David Lynch, John Carpenter and Lili Riefenstahl

Could you share any amusing stories or incidents that happened during your process of making the project?

the moment we began the project, swarms of moths invaded my office!

Can you describe a challenges you faced while working on this project, and how you overcame it?

the challenge was to make a very 'TALKY' story still visceral and exciting. We broke up the long talking sequences with sex and violence.

How can you collaborate effectively with an editor to shape the final version of your project?

Once a print is done, hand it to the editor and let them do their own version according to their own vision. If you don't trust an editor to do that, DO NOT USE AN EDITOR.

What was your actual budget for making this project? If you were given more resources, how would you like to proceed?

40,000 USD. On a bigger budget we'd make a live action version.

Could you please tell us what projects you are planning to work on next?

Nightworks Season 2, WET, BLOODBATH and Labyrinth of Saint Thomas

Could you share with us a proud accomplishment from your creative journey?

I am proud and amazed at how many awards Nightworks has already won!

What are the biggest challenges of making a film today and how can the festival circuit help achieve your dream?

distribution and rising out of the sea of slurry produced in America to get a fair deal so that people can actually see you work en masse.

What advice do you have for individuals who aspire to become filmmakers/writers?

patience, dedication, discipline
